Protective Sealers FAQ's

Driveways, pavers and retaining walls are typically porous substrates (i.e they absorb and trap water, grime and mould through tiny little holes. Think like a dense foam).

Sealers are designed to fill all those holes and bond to the substrate and even form a hard smooth layer on top, which forms a hydrophobic barrier to water, oils, moulds and grime.

Yes! water cannot enter where the sealer has bonded to the substrate and filled all the pores, therefore preventing any mould, algae or moss from growing inside the substrate.

It can grow on the surface, however, this is easily washed away with minimal effort.

Yes, definitely. By preventing unwanted organic matter from entering the pores of concrete, sandstone and brick etc, materials won't break down. Plus, they'll always look their best!

We provide penetrating sealers. There are 2 types

1. Natural look - Will not change the colour or look of the substrate.

2. Enhancer - Adds a slight wet look without the gloss. Really enhances the colour of your pavers

3. Bonding sealer - Perfect for new concrete or deteriorating substrates. It will bond and harden any porous material to prevent it breaking down.
